SURREALIST ADVERTISING
EXAMPLE 2:
Continuing my focus on diverse forms of advertising i discovered this unique looking advert. This particular billboard poster design was to promote the new 4by4 truck by Mistabishi Motors. Its overall intention was to appear different to other motor adverts due to pictorial styled work. Throughout this poster design, it combines both craft and design together to create a unusual look. Firstly to represent a sense of adventure and culture they have presented a terrian map and also a odd tribal looking figure. As well, the figure appears to be produced using beads from places such as Kenya etc. Moreover the advert uses only image based material to communicate the idea that their new truck can operate other many terrians. As a overall design it effectively uses the idea of adventure to its designed abilities and therefore is a good graphic design.
