Following the previous Nando's task we were again instructed to choose another advertising brief that focused on the task of designing for advertising. Before selecting a brief paul informed us on the fundamentals of formal academic writing and its connection to our project. Also it connected massively to the document texts needed for our advertising briefs. Below i will note down various parts of the document that were benefical to the current project.
YOU SHOULD AVOID WRITING IN PERSONAL TERMS SUCH AS " I/MY/ME", " YOU/YOUR", " WE/OUR/US". INSTEAD YOU SHOULD CONSIDER WRITING IN THE PASSIVE VOICE'.
FOR EXAMPLE; DON'T WRITE: I THINK THAT IF WE CONTINUE TO FOLLOW THESE POLICIES, WE WILL GET POOR RESULTS".
DO WRITE; IT IS CLEAR IF THESE POLICIES ARE PERSUED, THERE WILL BE POOR RESULTS". This is a brief section out of the document provided to us.
After understanding the principles of writing styles relating to our texts, i chose another brief that challenged my abilities through design and idea. The brief i selected was the Belu Water advert that entilted the designer to produce a 30 second television commercial. I decided to choose this project because it was massively different to the work i had produed previously. My intention was to develop my ideas relating to nando brief and to combine into the tv commercial. Initially to begin this project i will note down a series of keywords, brief ideas and mostly importantly research.
